Evangelist Blessing Urowoli Olubanjo, whose stage name is Blessing Olubanjo, was born in London with her twin sister who is now known as Pastor Charity Oyowoli Osemwengie. She went to Nigeria her roots, at the tender age of 4 where she did her early years education, primary, secondary school, and higher education before returning back to the United Kingdom.
Blessing Olubanjo is highly talented and gifted and therefore wears many hats. She is a graduate of the Middlesex University where she first studied Accounting and Business Information Systems and later on went back to study Business Administration. She also did courses at The City Literacy Institute which includes Drama exercises, Music production, Graphic Design & Illustration, Motion Design, Audio, Music theory, Computer repairs and maintenance, among several others.
Blessing Olubanjo is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Nelas Academy Awards. She graduated from International Bible Institute of London where she was prepared for her calling as a Minister of God. She also attended the Mount Zion Christian Film Institute training in London in 2007 led by Evangelist Mike Bamiloye at Passion TV and was awarded a Certificate in Christian Drama Arts in the Church Drama Evangelism category with a Merit.
Blessing Olubanjo is a philanthropist and teacher. She has helped to mentor people from different backgrounds ranging from singers, actors, business owners, youth leaders, Ministers, students, families, etc. Her TV Show, Simply Blessing has been a great inspiration and blessing to many.
She enjoys working and inspiring both the young and the old people in the community and helping them achieve their dreams. Blessing Olubanjo started acting in the drama group at her church in Benin City, Nigeria which inspired her to attend other colleges, workshops and training to gain more experience and skills for screen, vocal and good stage presence.
Apart being a Model, Fashion Designer, Web Designer, Graphic and a Jewellery Designer, she is also an Author and Publisher who believes in using God given abilities and talents to inspire and transform the lives of others including self- improvement and transformation.
Blessing Olubanjo is a recipient of the Nelas Academy Awards 2020 in Abuja, Nelas Academy Awards UK 2023, and has featured in Hollywood, Nollywood , Salonewood movies, including award winning movies such as Fake Identity, SuaraLa, Revenge of a woman, Oma Tsen Tsen and Let Go.
As a producer, Blessing is the founder and CEO of Simply Blessing Music & Movie Productions, producers of highly recommended movies such as the Raging Storm, Up Next, Wrong Marriages among others.
She gained an award from Ruke Amata Media Ltd in December 2013 for reaching the finals in the annual acting competition known as Class Act in the UK. Blessing Olubanjo joined Chosen Generation Drama Ministry (CGDM) in 2017 and has acted both in the Drama Theatre and drama ministration in Churches and also in films.
As a recording artist, Blessing Olubanjo has written countless of songs and has released 2 full music albums, and 6 single albums. Her music album Inspirational Melody was in collaboration with Rebecca Miya in 2006 and her single album “Soro Soke” was collaboration with Ify Jaegc released in December 2020. Her 4th and most recent and powerful single album titled ' Joy will come in the morning' also known as 'Not the end of the world' was a collaboration with Joseph Obinna.
Evangelist Blessing is the Choir Co-ordinator of Christ Apostolic Church Courtyard of Perfection, UK.
Apart from acting and singing, Blessing worked as a Quality Controller, in Sales, Administration and Human Resources with the NHS, Revelation TV, as a Presenter and TV Host at Heritage Tv. She has also done a bit of work with YANGA TV London.
Blessing Olubanjo has worked as a Secretary for organisations including Niger Delta Forum UK, an advocacy organisation to promote the welfare and aspiration of the people of Niger Delta States in Nigeria.
