Frank Ikegwuonu is a Nigerian filmmaker, publisher, and content creator based in London-UK, and Abuja-Nigeria. He is the president and founder of The Nelas Academy of Arts, Media and Television (Nelas Academy Awards) Established in 2003, also known as Nollywood Excellence and Leadership Awards, Nelas International Film Festival, and the Queen of Nollywood Tv, also the Queen of Nollywood Awards, and the Miss Nigeria Entertainment World.
Film Career:
Frank has produced and directed 87 movies and 113 episodes of the Queen of Nollywood series, showcasing African talent and culture. His films aim to strengthen the influence of the African film industry and increase representation of African films globally. Some of his movies have been premiered in prestigious arenas such as the Odeon Greenwich Theatre in London.
Publications:
Frank publishes magazines like “the 100 Great Women of Color, "The Top 100 Nollywood Celebrities", “Top 100 Inspirational People”, "Nollywood Encyclopedia", and the Who’s who in the Nigerian Entertainment industry highlighting Nigeria's rich cultural heritage. His publications have received official commendations from members of the diplomatic corps and the Nigerian government.
Ambassador Frank Ikegwuonu has written lots of interesting movie scripts either produced by him or for other production companies. His publications have been distributed worldwide with over half a million copies in circulation since 2003. Mr. Ikegwuonu has received numerous awards both in Nigeria and abroad and official commendations from the Presidency, the Federal Sports Commission, the Federal Ministry of Information, the Federal House of Representatives, the Federal Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Nigerian Television Authority, the National Film and Video Censors Board, and National Library of Nigeria.

The Nelas Academy Awards, and Nelas International Film Festival were founded in 2003 to recognize outstanding contributions in human capacity development, skill acquisition, creativity, social awareness, entrepreneurship, and economic empowerment in collaboration with the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Directors Guild of Nigeria, and the Association of Movie producers at NCAC Artist Village, Lagos Nigeria...
The 17th, 18th and 19th editions of the Nelas Academy Awards have taken place annually in the city of London-UK since 2020 honoring and presenting the Nelas trophies to dignitaries both diplomats, mayors, government officials, professionals and celebrities from around the world.

As the president of Nelas Academy Awards, Frank continues to promote African cinema and talent globally. He has hosted events in Nigeria, Germany, Turkey, the UK, and South Africa.
