Her Royal Majesty, Florence Okonkwo, affectionately known as the “Queen of Red Carpet,” is a celebrated actress, film producer, author, and serial entrepreneur whose remarkable journey is an inspiring testament to resilience and excellence. Based in the United Kingdom, Okonkwo has left an indelible mark on the Nollywood and British film industries, as well as the global fashion and publishing landscapes.
HRM Florence Okonkwo is a certified book publishing specialist and author of more than ten books which cover diverse interests such as relationships and romance, leadership, tech education, novels, culinary expertise and tourism. She holds a B.Sc. degree in Banking and Finance from Lagos State University, a Certificate of Specialization in Book Publishing from Pure Thoughts Publishing, USA, and a Hollywood Film School (Filmmaking and TV Directing) training certificate. She is also an Ambassador of the British Film Festival and has received over 40 awards and certifications across four continents.
Driven by a profound desire to create impact, her career boasts an impressive array of accomplishments. She has starred in and produced numerous critically acclaimed films, including For the Love of Money, Heartless Carer, Broken Cross, Oga Detective, Return of the Don, Love Conquer, Golden Love, Lesson Number One, Speak Up, Top Range, This Is Not About You, The Passion and Temptation of Queen Cleopatra, Shot in the Dark, Royal Obsession, and It Happened to Me. Her film Shot in the Dark earned international acclaim, winning Best Original Script at the British Film Festival (2022) and securing Best Supporting Women in Film, Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF 2019).
Her publishing venture, ElegantFlix Limited, publisher of Elegantflix 3D International Magazine, is dedicated to celebrating creativity and culture. As an author, she has penned bestselling books such as The Woman Celine Ajah-Smith, Through the Storm, Exploring Coding As A Newbie, 54 Flavors of Africa, Date Smart, and When The Spark is Gone: A Guide to Reigniting Passion in Struggling Relationships.
Florence Okonkwo’s philanthropic efforts shine through the MMO Foundation, which she founded in 2018 to support vulnerable communities in Africa. Deeply touched by the loss of two siblings to sickle cell disease, she has dedicated her life to raising awareness and reducing the disease’s impact. Her work in this area earned recognition from notable figures such as the Deputy Mayor of Southwark and Carol Nwosu, founder of Sickle Cell and Young Stroke Survivor in the UK.
