CAROLINE CHIKEZIE

CAROLINE CHIKEZIE

Nigeria/United Kingdom | Film • Television

Caroline Chikezie is a British-Nigerian actress whose career demonstrates the increasing international movement of African talent between British, American and Nigerian screen industries. Born in London to Nigerian parents, she pursued acting despite initial expectations that she would enter another profession. Her breakthrough came through British television, particularly her role as Sasha Williams in As If and later appearances in Footballers’ Wives. She subsequently worked across international productions, including Æon Flux, Eragon, Torchwood, Supernatural and The Shannara Chronicles. She also returned to Nigerian television, taking a prominent role in EbonyLife’s The Governor. Chikezie’s career is significant within African diaspora entertainment because it illustrates how actors of Nigerian heritage have increasingly occupied spaces across British, American and Nigerian screen culture.
